Most of us experience stress at least once a week. It could be work, family, friends or anything that can be the root of your stress. It’s almost the end of the week so I just wanted to give you guy my top 5 stress-busting tips to help you relieve some of that stress…
Exercise Reguarly: You can run, walk, job, dance, or take an aerobics class. Whatever you do just get your blood flowing and clear your mind with a little bit of sweating.
Find a Hobby: Some people like to read, write, clean, or even collect things. Find something that is not too complicated that can be your escape from the everyday norm.
Laugh: Nothing beats a good laugh. You can burn a couple of calories, take your mind off things, and have a smile on your face!
Eat small meals throughout the day: This will keep your blood sugar stable (when blood sugar is low, mental, physical, and emotional energy decreases, and stress increases).
Learn to Let Go: One of my favorite stress quotes is from the TV show “A Different World” it says “Relax, Release, Relate.” This tip goes toward release and relate. If you let go things you have no control over it will reduce the stress you feel tremendously!

Have you ever been so stressed and overworked that you just can’t think clearly anymore because you are so burnt out. It happens to us all and most of us can’t afford to change jobs when burnout happens. So prevention is key.
Prevention: We can all feel when we are about to get burnt out. Going for a walk or a stretch each day will help you reduce stress. Having conversations with co-workers can go a long way towards overall happiness at work. Unplugging after a certain time can also go a long way towards sanity. Having a hobby also helps, I like painting. Find a way to focus on home at home.

Ok, so there is supposedly 6 more weeks of winter left, silly ground hog. Winter is time when people are more likely to get depressed. Probably due to the snow and lack of sunshine. Here are some ideas for beating those winter blues.

Use Light Therapy, most of us no longer have the luxury of getting up with the sun. Use brighter lights or get a light box to brighten your sprits.
Eat better, most vegetables are now flash frozen at the height of freshness. Avoid heavy stews at all cost.
Get a better nights sleep. Sleep for 8 hours a night and sleep consistently. Rise at the same time each day.
Get up and move. Dance, shake and what have you.
Lastly, visualize summer.

I am not a morning person, but like many of us I have a job that requires me to get up in the morning. If I had my way my prime waking hours would be from Noon until 2am. But since that is not the case here are some tips for making the wake up better.
1. Don’t hit snooze! Why would you want to go into a half sleep instead a a full sleep by just waking up when you need to?
2.Drink water: Chances are the lack in your system first thing can make you lethargic.
3. Get Pumping! Listen to energetic music to jump start your day.
4. Open a window!

What’s Better, the Bottle or Tap?

Are you spending your money on bottled water just to avoid drinking tap? Studies are showing that tap water is just as healthy for you; it’s just not in a bottle. If you want to improve your tap water you can always buy a filter and that would be cheaper than buying the amount of bottles it would take to meet your daily requirements.

Dentists Are Fizzing About Soda

Sodas are not exactly teeth friendly. Dentists have been warning patients about the decaying effects of cola and sugary, fizzy drinks on their teeth. Now you can add fruit juices, tea and even energy drinks to the list. They can cause big issues for your pearly whites.
Cavities form when bacteria in the mouth mix with sugar, leading to decay. Erosion occurs when chemicals strip the minerals off the teeth. Sports drinks, carbonated beverages and citric fruit juices strips the hard, protective layer of the tooth called the enamel and could dissolve the entire tooth.
Try the following tips to avoid erosion:
1) Drink the beverage at once, instead of sipping it all day.
2) Use a straw to avoid the teeth from being immersed in liquid.
3) Drink more water.
4) Rinse your mouth with water after drinking acidic beverage instead of brushing; the bristles of the toothbrush may damage the enamel.
Do You Floss?

Are you a regular flosser? I’ve never really put it as part of my normal routine, but I keep hearing over and over just how important it is. Maybe that should be one of my resolutions? Flossing not only prevents gum disease and helps keep your gums and teeth looking good, but it helps with other non-mouth diseases too, including heart conditions.
What do you think? Where do you fall on the flossing argument?
