Megabus Rolls Out in Harrisburg

Posted on July 21, 2010 By Ashley (Edit) 2 Comments

Harrisburg residents now have a new and inexpensive way to get to their favorite places. Megabus, an intercity bus company, begins their services in the city today.

For as little as $1, residents can go nonstop on Megabus to Philadelphia, Pittsburgh or State College.

The  Harrisburg buses have 57 seats. The prices start at $1 but the higher the demand the more expensive it will be. The maximum price for the Harrisburg-Philadelphia route is $10. So the earlier you reserve your seat  the better chance you have at paying $1.

Residents can benefit from daily trips to and from Harrisburg — four to Philadelphia, two to Pittsburgh and two to State College. Megabus leaves from pole 23 in the Harrisburg Mall parking lot. The first trip from Harrisburg is leaving at 9:10 a.m. for State College.Â
   Â
Megabus is not a new thing it has been expanding across the Midwest and Northeast since 2006.

So if you want to take advantage of this new inexpensive bus ride reserve your seat at megabus.com.

You can go online to http://www.megabus.com to see their schedule. They have daily buses that run from Harrisburg everday.

I have personally taken the bus from Harrisburg to Pittsburgh a few different times and it was very nice.
