Aretha and Condoleezza Team Up in Philly
This has to be the oddest match-up since Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thronton.
The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin and Former Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice are teaming up at the end of the month for a show at Philadelphia’s Mann Center for the Performing Arts.
Most people don’t know this but Rice was an accomplished accompanist before she was famous from her diplomacy.
Rice will accompany Franklin on piano for “Say A Little Prayer,” “Natural Woman,” selections from Mozart and more on July 27.
This is being held as a benefit concert for inner city children and education initiatives.
Tickets range from $24-$98.
Your Turn: Will you go see Aretha Franklin and Condoleezza Rice? What do you think of the two performing together?
